Welcome to ssarp.org - a website for SSA retirees and employees who worked for SSA, but retired from other agencies. Current  employees are also invited to visit often and to join the mail list. The ssarp.org administrator is Stanley LeBlanc, Dallas Region, who retired June 3, 2003.

The site was begun by retirees with the support of SSA employees, but it is not an official SSA site. There is an email communication list for those who subscribe. To subscribe to the mail list, complete the mail list form or send an email to retired at [use@] ssarp.org. Please include your region in the subject line or body.

Tribute to Shelton Walters

As a tribute to Shelton Walters, former Deputy Assistant Regional Commissioner for Management and Operations Support in the Dallas Region, several of his friends, with the support of Shelton’s family, established a Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund (FEEA) scholarship in his name. Only SSA employees, their spouses and children who meet the eligibility requirements for a FEEA scholarship will be considered for the Shelton Walters Scholarship.

If you would like to pay tribute to Shelton, there are two ways to donate to this memorial scholarship fund. To contribute using a credit or debit card, please visit www.feea.org and click on GIVE NOW, the second block at the top of the page. On the My Gift Page, enter the amount you wish to donate. In the Tribute Space, indicate that the gift is for the Shelton Walters Scholarship fund. Add your contact information where requested, and the payment amount you are contributing using a credit or debit card. If you prefer, you may send a check to FEEA at 3333 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Suite 300, Lakewood, CO 80227. In the memo space on your check face, indicate the Shelton Walters Scholarship fund.

SPECIAL ALERT! Troy Darren Grumbine, son of Kay [former SSA and HCFA/CMS employee] and Grant Grumbine, has been missing since February 2, 2004. His car with the motor still running was found near Deming, New Mexico, but the State Trooper couldn't locate Troy. The Missing Person Poster prepared by the Irving Police Department contains a photo and contact information.
